Recording artist and Mis-Teeq frontwoman Sabrina Washington has been featured on Melan Magazine’s website as part of an in-depth interview piece about her career, what inspires her and how she motivates others to achieve their dreams.

Sabrina Washington found fame as the frontwoman of Mis-Teeq, the sensationally popular girl group that released three double-platinum albums and seven top-ten singles during their reign of the charts. In a career that’s seen her perform at the BRIT Awards and open the Queen’s Jubilee, she has built a reputation as one of Britain’s best-loved pop icons. Speaking about her time with Mis-Teeq and the launch of her new luxury lifestyle brand Home by SW, Sabrina offered advice to younger women thinking of taking the leap into entrepreneurship:

“I would say don’t be afraid to stand out and don’t be afraid of the journey. No journey is easy. If you want anything for yourself, usually it never comes easily, you always have to put in the hard work, but don’t give up. Remember that it’s your idea and remember that it’s your work behind it and as long as you always keep the energy and keep positive, it will flourish because if you put good energy behind something, it usually comes back.”

Described as an “online magazine for stylish and smart women of colour”, Melan Magazine features news, information and editorial content on fashion, health and beauty, travel and lifestyle.

“We’re really excited to be re-introducing Sabrina to the national press, and to be providing fresh opportunities for her to tell her story! Sabrina has been very busy behind the scenes since the Mis-Teeq days, becoming an entrepreneur in the world of interior design, as well as reaming a mega-talented singer and performer. We can’t wait to see what 2019 brings for Sabrina and her brand Home by SW!”
