The scientist and sleep expert gave a virtual lecture on the importance of sleep as part of Populous’ internal wellness initiative.
Dr. Kat Lederle was booked through MN2S to give a one-hour virtual talk to employees of Populous, a global design firm with colleagues spanning four continents. Her highly informative and entertaining talk covered a range of fascinating topics: Lederle explained why good sleep is so essential to our mental and physical health, revealed what happens to our mind and bodies when we don’t get enough of it, and offered invaluable tips for getting the perfect night’s sleep. As part of Populous’ internal company wellness initiative, Lederle’s talk complemented a range of activities aimed at helping their employees improve their mental and physical health while improving their wellbeing.
Dr. Kat Lederle is a sleep scientist and chronobiologist. She is Head of Sleep at start-up Somnia, a sleep consultancy offering sleep education for professionals. Dr Kat, as she is known, is the author of the hugely successful non-fiction work ‘Sleep Sense’. Lederle holds a PhD in Human Circadian Physiology and Behaviour, and has completed an MSc in Biosciences. Dr Kat delivers practical talks and seminars aimed at supporting individuals to improve their health and wellbeing by learning about the importance of sleep, offering practical guidance on improving sleep through her custom-developed Sleep Plans. Lederle is also a key part of the team at The Sleep School, a centre for science-based sleep education and therapy.
