Dapper Laughs in CBB18 house | News | MN2S

MN2S artist Dapper Laughs is the latest star to enter the Celebrity Big Brother House

Cheeky chappy Dapper Laughs – a star on the books here at top talent agency MN2S – has made waves with his appearance in the 2018 series of Celebrity Big Brother. Dapper Laughs appearance was a last-minute surprise; not least because the series was marketed as having an all female line up to mark the 100th anniversary of women winning the vote.

In fact, he wasn’t the only man to appear on the show – in total eight men were added to the cast of eight women already on the show. The first woman to enter the house was controversial former MP Ann Widdecombe, quickly followed by Malika Haqq, a close friend of Kim Kardashian’s. They were joined by Rachel Johnson, sister of the infamous Boris Johnson and Ashley James, a DJ and former Made in Chelsea star. Transgender newsreader India Willoughby and Maggie Oliver, a high-profile former policewoman also joined the cast, as well as Jess Impiazzi, known for appearing on Ex on the Beach and dating Charlie Sheen. Last through the doors was 82 year old Amanda Barrie – she played Alma on Coronation Street and is the oldest contestant ever to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.

The women were joined on the show by former Apprentice contestant Andrew Brady, football player John Barnes, Boyzone star Shane Lynch, Celebrity Love Island star Jonny Mitchell, R’n’b star Ginuwine, ballet dancer Wayne Sleep, drag queen Shane Jenek and, of course, our very own contestant Dapper Laughs.

First rising to prominence as an internet celebrity, Dapper Laughs is a character played by comedian David Daniel O’Reilly. His short videos on the Vine platform soon won him millions of followers on social media channels and a few controversies to boot. He has starred in his own TV show on ITV show and remains a popular figure on social media

In light of the centenary of women winning the vote, producers of the show have promised to bust gender stereotypes – and their choice of controversial contestants certainly indicates that it will be an interesting series. Already a clash has taken place between Andrew Brady and India Willoughby, after drag artist Shane Jenek (better known as Courtney Act) offered to give the former a drag makeover. India had an extreme reaction to seeing her housemate in drag, and explained that as a man who had transitioned to a woman she found people laughing at a man in drag uncomfortable. A row broke out between several of the housemates, causing one of the biggest scenes of the series so far.

If you’d like to book an of-the-moment celebrity to attend your event or endorse a product or service that you are promoting, Dapper Laughs could be just the man for you. A household name whose profile has recently been boosted by his CBB appearance, he’s sure to draw a crowd once he leaves the house.
