The Fashion Institute of Technology have booked Jej Vinson to perform on Instagram Live for their Student Activities Board as part of Asian Pacific Heritage Month, a celebration aimed at recognising the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. One of The Voice’s most memorable contestants, Jej Vinson turned all four coaches chairs’ in his blind audition and swiftly became a fan favourite as part of Team Kelly Clarkson. Born in the Philippines, he moved to South Dakota with his family at age 15, before moving to California in pursuit of a career in music and entertainment. After studying at USC, he was spotted by the producers of The Voice singing background vocals and asked to come on the show. His phenomenal audition video later went viral, racking up 1 million views in under 24 hours.
