We are delighted to welcome hip-hop legends Slum Village to the MN2S artist roster this week.
Comprised of founding member T3 and producer Young RJ – who was mentored by the late J Dilla after he left the group to pursue his own solo career – they are one of Detroit’s foremost musical exports.
With a slew of classic albums under their belt including ‘Fan-Tas-Tic Vol. 1’ and ‘Fantastic Vol. 2’ and collaborations with Kanye West, John Legend, Jazzy Jeff and De La Soul, they are one of the most acclaimed acts in underground hip-hop history.
Their last release was the ‘Vintage EP’ in September 2014, and they have recently been touring alongside Pete Rock. New album ‘Yes’ is on the way. You can hear a taster from it, ‘Push It Along feat. Phife Dawg, below.
