Capturing the epic scope of fantasy storytelling through monumental arena performances, the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience reshaped expectations for orchestral touring. Featuring composer Ramin Djawadi, the musical collective emerged to bring cinematic arrangements directly to audiences on a grand scale, forging an immersive connection that bridged television soundtracks and live concert production.
The project was formally introduced on August 8, 2016, during an intimate gathering in Los Angeles, California. This announcement paved the way for an ambitious all-arena headlining tour titled “Music Is Coming,” a direct nod to the iconic House Stark motto. The group’s musicianship translated complex televised themes into captivating live spectacles.
The tour launched on February 20, 2017, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, bringing the composer’s celebrated compositions across multiple cities in the United States and Canada before concluding on April 2 in Portland, Oregon. Through carefully coordinated staging and live instrumentation, the ensemble established a distinct presence in contemporary touring entertainment.
