Clinton Kane Talabis Concon, born on November 26, 1999, in the Philippines, embarked on his musical journey early in life, teaching himself to play guitar, piano, and drums. Growing up, he resided in various countries including Greece, Brunei, England, and Las Vegas due to his mother’s occupation as a Pentecostal pastor. Kane began sharing his musical talent in 2016 by uploading covers and original songs to his YouTube channel, where he quickly garnered a dedicated fanbase. This early digital presence laid the groundwork for his career, showcasing his emotive vocals and introspective songwriting style to a growing audience.
His career saw a significant turning point in 2019 when he signed with Columbia Records, a major label that recognized his potential as a “huge talent” with “powerful vocals.” Following his signing, Kane relocated to Los Angeles and released his 5-track EP, “This Is What It Feels Like,” the same year. In 2020, he collaborated with Dutch DJ Martin Garrix on the single “Drown,” which helped expand his reach and achieve mainstream recognition. The subsequent years saw the release of his successful singles “Chicken Tendies” in February 2021 and “I Guess I’m in Love” in August 2021. Both songs achieved positions on the US Billboard Hot 100, with “I Guess I’m in Love” also charting in Australia and the UK, demonstrating his increasing international appeal. These achievements marked his transition from a promising online artist to a charting musician, cultivating a reputation for a raw and emotional sound that resonated with listeners.
In July 2022, Kane released his debut album, “Maybe Someday It’ll All Be OK,” which further solidified his presence in the music industry. In August 2024, Kane transitioned to an independent artist, parting ways with Columbia Records, signaling a new phase in his career.
