Elley Duhe

Elley Frances Duhé was born on February 14, 1992, in Mobile, Alabama. Her musical journey began at an early age, inspired by her father and uncles who were active in the New Orleans music scene. Duhé received her first guitar at 14 and started performing in local coffee shops by the age of 15. Her early career saw her gaining experience playing gigs in various venues, which helped her connect with songwriters in major music cities like Nashville, Los Angeles, and Austin. She chose to leave high school, earning her GED to dedicate herself fully to music. In 2012, Duhé appeared on the second season of “The Voice” but did not advance. Early in her career, she also performed under the stage name ‘L.E.D.’. She currently resides in Los Angeles, continuing to develop her artistry.

Duhé’s formal debut as a solo artist came in October 2016 with the release of “Millennium,” a collaboration with electronic producer Tarro. This single achieved significant traction, garnering over two million views on YouTube and 1.4 million streams on Spotify. Following this, her single “Immortal” premiered on Billboard in December 2016, quickly accumulating 4.5 million streams on Spotify and nearly a million views on YouTube. The song’s popularity led to multiple remixes, including one by DJ duo Snakehips in 2017 and another in 2022 by Fred Again and Four Tet, titled “Jungle,” which charted internationally and received a silver certification in the UK. Subsequent singles included “Fly” in July 2017, produced by ILLA and Cool & Dre. Her career further progressed through collaborations, notably with Zedd on “Happy Now” in July 2018 and with Gryffin on “Tie Me Down” in August 2018, both of which became platinum-certified hits. In August 2018, she released her EP, “Dragon Mentality.”

In 2021, Duhé released “Kids of the Night.” A significant turning point occurred in 2022 when her 2020 single “Middle of the Night” gained viral success on TikTok, subsequently achieving chart success and multiple platinum certifications globally. This led to a “seven-figure artist funding deal” with beatBread in 2022, allowing her to release music independently through her label, Not Fit for Society. She also collaborated on “Bad Memories” in 2022 with Meduza, James Carter, and Fast Boy, and teamed up with Teddy Swims for “FACE MYSELF” in 2023. Her debut album, “Phoenix,” was released on October 27, 2023. In 2024, Elley Duhé received a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for her songwriting contribution to “Rumble,” a track by Skrillex and Fred Again featuring Flowdan, which sampled her song “Immortal.”
