Infected Mushroom, the pioneering electronic music duo formed by Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani in Haifa in 1996, released their debut album The Gathering in 1999. Prior to their collaboration, Eisen had released albums under monikers such as Shidapu and Shiva Shidapu, while Duvdevani contributed keyboards to the band Enzyme. Featuring tracks like ‘Psycho,’ The Gathering was instrumental in introducing Israeli psytrance to a broader global audience. Their subsequent albums, Classical Mushroom (2000) and B.P.
The band released a series of EPs, Friends on Mushrooms Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in 2013, followed by Vol. 3 in 2014, and culminating in Friends On Mushrooms compilation in 2015.
Highlighting their industry impact, Infected Mushroom was credited as part of the production team on Lady Gaga’s critically acclaimed album Artpop in 2013. They revisited a landmark work with Converting Vegetarians II in 2015, and released Return to the Sauce in 2017. Also in 2017, they made their debut on the prominent Monstercat label with the single ‘Spitfire.’ Demonstrating their enduring creativity, Infected Mushroom released IM21, Pt.1 and Head of NASA and the 2 Amish Boys in 2018. Their album More Than Just a Name followed in 2020.
Most recently, the duo released the single ‘A Cookie from Space’ from their upcoming IM25 project in 2022, and collaborated with Omer Adam on the single ‘Tirkod LaNezach’ in 2023, showcasing their continued evolution and collaborative spirit within the electronic music landscape.
