David Henrard, known professionally as JD Davis and Dave Davis, was born on April 13, 1973. His musical journey began at the age of 17 when he relocated to Antwerp to join Bonzai Records. Early in his career, he released music under various aliases, including Dave Davis, Les Sabotages, Phrenetic System, and Davis & Santini, starting with “Transfiguration” around 1995. Davis quickly established himself in the electronic music scene, performing at major festivals and clubs globally, such as Mayday, Love Parade, Street Parade, Energy (Zurich), Gay Pride (Paris), and Francofolies De Spa. He also held a residency at Cherry Moon in Belgium. His early work under the Dave Davis moniker on Bonzai Records solidified his presence as a versatile artist.
A significant turning point in JD Davis’s career came around 2004 with his collaboration with David Guetta. He co-wrote, co-composed, and provided vocals for the hit singles “The World Is Mine” and “In Love with Myself” from Guetta’s album *Guetta Blaster*. In the same year, his collaboration with Chab, “Closer to Me,” was released, further expanding his reach. Concurrently, he contributed a remix of Skye’s single “Nowhere” for PIAS Records UK. His discography includes numerous releases and collaborations, demonstrating a continuous output and evolution in his sound.
