Joyce Muniz

Joyce Muniz is a stalwart on the music scene, with years of experience touring the globe, her own radio show and music production brand. Originally from Brazil, Muniz moved to Vienna to join the electronic music scene that was blossoming there in the mid-90’s. She secured her first residency at the now infamous Flex Club and began to develop her own unique sound. Over the next few years she worked on nurturing her own style, drawing on a range of influences and genres to create what is now her trademark. Muniz began collecting records, and she now has a huge collection, alongside a vast amount of knowledge of electronic music.

It was in 2010 that Muniz began her career in production, fusing the sounds of her native South America with the 90’s soundscape of Vienna. Since those early days she has worked with artists such as Maya Jane Coles, Richard Dorfmeister and Bam of The Jungle Brothers. She has also been trusted with remixes for a range of huge artists including Claptone, Tosca and Stereo MCs.

Outside of DJing and producing, Muniz also hosts her own radio show on FM4 Vienna, as well as having a residency on London’s Rinse FM. She runs her own club nights, Joyce Muniz and Friends, where she performs alongside special guests all over the world. Her versatility as a performer and as a producer is what’s kept audiences and listeners enthralled for so many years, and she doesn’t look set to stop anytime soon.
