Lewis Ofman

Lewis Pierre Simon Delhomme, known as Lewis OfMan, is a French record producer, musician, singer, and songwriter from Paris, born on December 1, 1997. His early life was immersed in an artistic family environment; his father, Jean-Philippe Delhomme, is an artist, and his mother, Sophie-Anne, was an artistic director. Delhomme initially aspired to be a perfumer but found himself drawn to music. He began his musical journey in New York at age eleven, learning to play the drums. Upon returning to Paris, he became a drummer for the band The Jools before acquiring a keyboard the following year. His initial productions were created on his mother’s iPad using GarageBand, leading to his Bandcamp-exclusive debut EP, “Disconsolate,” in 2014.

Adopting the moniker Lewis OfMan in 2014, inspired by a soccer video game where his surname appeared as “Del Hombre,” translating to “Of Man” in English, he released his second EP, “Yo Bene,” the same year. This period also saw him producing Vendredi sur Mer’s debut album, “Marée Basse.” Throughout his career, Lewis OfMan has been noted for his unique approach to technology, preferring analog synthesizers and older equipment to inform his creative process, a philosophy he describes as “going to the future with the past.” This approach allows him to embrace spontaneity and unexpected results, contributing to his distinctive sound.

Lewis OfMan’s career progressed with the release of the EP “Dancy Party” and the studio album “Sonic Poems” in 2022. “Sonic Poems” featured collaborations with artists like Coco & Clair Clair and was co-produced with Tim Goldsworthy. A significant milestone was his collaboration with Carly Rae Jepsen on the single “Move Me” in 2022, after Jepsen discovered his music through a playlist. He supported Jepsen on several shows during her “The So Nice Tour” in February 2023. His latest works include the album “Cristal Medium Blue,” released in February 2024, and collaborations with Empress Of on “Highway” and Camille Jansen on “Hey Lou,” demonstrating his continued evolution and collaborative spirit within the electronic and pop music scenes.
