Phantogram, comprised of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, has established itself as an American electronic rock duo, recognized for their innovative sound and collaborations with notable artists. After signing with UK label Barely Breaking Even (BBE) in 2009, electronic rock duo Phantogram, comprised of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, solidified their unique sound in the music industry. The duo, who had previously released two EPs under the name Charlie Everywhere, officially adopted the Phantogram moniker upon their BBE signing, subsequently releasing their self-titled debut EP in 2009 and the Running From the Cops EP later that year. Their professional trajectory advanced significantly in October 2009 when they signed with Barsuk Records, facilitating the broader release of their debut album, Eyelid Movies.
That same year, Phantogram contributed to Good Music to Avert the Collapse of American Democracy, Volume 2 and released the single ‘Me & Me’ for a Netflix film. Phantogram’s recent activities include being featured on Tom Morello’s song ‘Driving to Texas’ in 2021. In 2022, they announced a reissue of Eyelid Movies and released the single ‘Suzie.’ Most recently, Phantogram unveiled their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Memory of a Day, in 2024, which features singles such as ‘Come Alive.’
