Mako, led by Alex Seaver, has evolved from an electronic music sensation to a versatile composer, producer, and songwriter, crafting acclaimed scores for gaming and animated series.
Released debut album 'Hourglass' (2016) and sophomore album 'Fable' (2020) through Ultra Music. Multiple singles like 'Smoke Filled Room' were also released via Ultra Records.
Collaborated hand-in-hand with the team behind Riot Games' League of Legends, co-writing and co-producing many of their biggest releases, including 'Legends Never Die' (2017), 'Rise' (2018), and 'Gods' with NewJeans (2023). Also contributed to the Emmy-winning animated series 'Arcane' as co-composer and songwriter for Season 1 and Executive Music Producer for Season 2.
Mako was formed after the 2011 Electric Daisy Carnival when Light invited Seaver to "witness his world."

Alex Seaver, known professionally as Mako, is a critically-acclaimed producer, songwriter, and musician from Los Angeles. His career officially began in 2011, initially as a duo with Logan Light. Before Mako’s formation, Seaver honed his skills at the Juilliard School on a full scholarship, while Light was opening for major DJs such as Tiësto and Avicii. The duo quickly gained recognition in the electronic dance music scene, releasing their debut single “Into the Light” with Sander van Doorn and DubVision in 2013 on Spinnin’ Records, which reached number 3 on the Beatport Top 100 chart. Mako released several other singles including “Beam” (2013) and the popular “Smoke Filled Room” (2015), which later topped the Billboard Dance Airplay chart. Their debut album, “Hourglass,” was released in 2016 via Ultra Records, showcasing a blend of pop, indie rock, and EDM.
In 2017, Logan Light departed, transitioning Mako into Seaver’s solo project. This period marked a significant turning point, allowing Seaver to explore new creative directions and expand his musical scope beyond traditional dance music. He began collaborating extensively with Riot Games, co-writing and co-producing major releases for their universe, including the platinum-certified “Legends Never Die” (2017) for the League of Legends World Championship, featuring Against the Current. His second studio album, “Fable,” released in 2020, further demonstrated his artistic evolution, incorporating indie, pop, and electronic elements and featuring singles such as “Breathe” and “Murder.”
Seaver’s contributions extended to composing and producing for film and television. In 2021, he made his debut as a co-composer and songwriter for Netflix’s Emmy-winning animated series “Arcane,” based on League of Legends, an Emmy-nominated effort. For “Arcane” Season 2 (2024), he took on the role of executive music producer, curating a diverse soundtrack with artists including Mike Shinoda and Stromae. In 2025, he produced and co-wrote “Afterlife” for the Netflix series “Devil May Cry,” performed by Evanescence, demonstrating his ability to work across various genres and media.
