Roger Sanchez

Roger Sanchez was born on June 1, 1967. He is an American house DJ, remixer, and producer, and is recognized for his contributions to the house music genre. Sanchez gained prominence in the club scene in New York City before expanding his presence internationally. He established a notable residency on the Spanish island of Ibiza, where he has performed during the summer season consistently since 2000. Over his career, Sanchez has accumulated multiple awards and recognitions for his work in music production and DJing.

Throughout his career, Roger Sanchez has achieved success on both European and World Charts. This success includes his original productions and remixes for various notable artists. In 2003, he received a Grammy Award in the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical category for his remix of “Hella Good” by No Doubt. His track “Another Chance” became an international hit in 2001. Sanchez has been a four-time winner of the DJ Awards for “Best House DJ” in 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2007, and has also received twelve nominations from the organization. He was also the recipient of the first International Dance Music Award for Best Podcast in 2007 for his ‘Release Yourself’ radio show.

In 2002, Sanchez founded his own record label, Stealth Records. Through this label, he releases his music and curates the ‘Release Yourself’ series of compilation albums, which are known for their blend of house subgenres. His weekly radio show, also titled ‘Release Yourself,’ reaches an audience of 15 million listeners globally. In 2018, Sanchez developed an educational masterclass designed to instruct aspiring DJs.
