Skratch Bastid

Canadian star Skratch Bastid is a world beating DJ and award winning producer. For more than 15 years now he has been sharpening his cutting, mixing and chopping skills on the turntables and at this point he won the acclaimed Scribble Jam DJ Battle no fewer than three times. A DJ with more than just the ability to mix together two records, he started out at competitions like DMC and ITF but is now a world touring star who entertains audiences at all points on the globe. He has played more than 150 shows in Asia, Europe and Australia in the last ten years and dextrously mixes up hip hop, funk, club, rock, disco and many other styles.
?Back home in Toronto he hosts his own annual Bastid’s summer BBQ and has taken his AV show around the globe as well as collaborating with concert series The Flex. Always pushing the boundaries of live DJing, Basted is an ambassador of the hugely-popular Red Bull Thre3style DJ competition and is now an integral part of its success, playing with the brand around the planet. With an energetic style of live performance, Bastid is also a fine studio hand who has done production work for the 2008 Juno nominated Situation album with Buck 65 as well as Shad’s Flying Colours. His own remixes, widely lauded mixtapes and blends have also picked up millions of plays and as such this crowd pleasing turntable champion and crowd favourite is very much on top of the DJ world.
