A Great Big World

A Great Big World achieved significant international recognition with their Grammy-winning track ‘Say Something,’ a powerful collaboration with Christina Aguilera. Released in November 2013, the song rapidly ascended to the number one spot on the iTunes charts and peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100. The musical duo, comprised of singer/songwriters Ian Axel and Chad King, first gained substantial momentum in 2011 when ‘This Is the New Year’ was licensed across networks including MTV’s ‘I Used to Be Fat,’ ‘The Amazing Race,’ ESPN, ‘One Tree Hill,’ and ‘Good Morning America.’ This early exposure led to the cast of ‘Glee’ performing ‘This Is the New Year’ in 2013, propelling it onto the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart. Following this breakthrough, A Great Big World signed with Epic Records in 2013, releasing a three-song EP and embarking on a successful headline tour.

The pinnacle of their early career arrived in 2015 when A Great Big World was honored with a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Say Something.’ The duo continued their impressive output with their second album, When the Morning Comes, released in 2015, which included collaborations with artists and producers such as Futuristic, Dave Eggar, and Kevin Kadish.
