Lisang Pacidal Koyouan, publicly known as A-Lin, was born on September 20, 1983, in Lingya, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Her musical journey began during her youth when, at the age of 16 in 1999, she was discovered while teaching children to sing “Amazing Grace” after the Jiji earthquake. This initial encounter led to a formal singing contract four years later, marking her entry into the music industry. She made her official debut in February 2006 with the studio album “Lovelorn, Not Guilty” under Avex Taiwan. Over the years, A-Lin has gained recognition for her vocal range and emotive delivery, earning the nickname “A Born Diva” within the Mandarin-speaking world. Her career is marked by consistent album releases and participation in various music events.
A-Lin’s career progression includes a significant album release in 2008 titled “Diva,” followed by “Before, After” in 2009 and “Loneliness Is Not the Hardest Part” in 2010.
