A Wilhelm Scream, a band revered for its high-energy performances and technical punk rock sound, has maintained a consistent touring and recording schedule since their inception in 1999. Demonstrating an early and prolific output, the band released ‘The Way to a Girl’s Heart Is Through Her Boyfriend’s Stomach’ in 1999, quickly followed by ‘Benefits Of Thinking Out Loud’ in 2001. Their distinctive sound garnered comparisons to influential acts such as Strung Out, Hot Water Music, and Propagandhi, establishing their unique place within the melodic hardcore scene. The bands career trajectory saw a significant step in 2004 when they signed with Nitro Records.
This partnership yielded a series of critically acclaimed albums, including ‘Mute Print’ (2004) and ‘Ruiner’ (2005), both expertly produced by Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore. Their prolific period continued with the release of ‘Career Suicide’ in 2007, solidifying their reputation for relentless creativity. At the height of their touring, A Wilhelm Screams members reported playing over 250 shows worldwide annually, showcasing an unparalleled work ethic and global reach. In 2009, A Wilhelm Scream transitioned to Paper + Plastick, releasing a self-titled EP that same year, further expanding their discography and demonstrating their adaptability.
In 2022, they released the single ‘Be One to No One’ ahead of their highly anticipated album, ‘Lose Your Delusion’. Recorded in guitarist Trevor Reillys home studio and self-produced, ‘Lose Your Delusion’ was released in 2022, showcasing the bands ongoing commitment to innovation and artistic independence.
