Jared Leto

Jared Leto is an accomplished American actor and musician, recognized for his method acting in diverse roles and as the frontman of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. After achieving widespread recognition for his role as Jordan Catalano in the television series ‘My So-Called Life’ (1994–1995), Jared Leto quickly established himself as a versatile actor and multi-platinum recording artist. His film career began with ‘How to Make an American Quilt’ (1995) and he earned critical attention in his first leading role in ‘Prefontaine’ (1997). Leto continued to take challenging roles, notably in Terrence Malick’s ‘The Thin Red Line’ (1998), David Fincher’s ‘Fight Club’ (1999), and ‘Requiem for a Dream’ (2000), where his portrayal of a heroin addict involved significant physical transformation, solidifying his reputation for intense method acting.

In 1998, Leto co-founded the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars with his brother Shannon Leto. The band released its self-titled debut album in 2002, followed by ‘A Beautiful Lie’ (2005) and ‘This Is War’ (2009), establishing them as a globally recognized act with touring. Balancing music, Leto reunited with David Fincher for ‘Panic Room’ (2002) and appeared in films such as Oliver Stone’s ‘Alexander’ (2004) and ‘Lord of War’ (2005). His dedication to character was further evidenced by significant weight gain to portray Mark David Chapman in ‘Chapter 27’ (2007).

Leto also made his directorial debut with the documentary ‘Artifact’ (2012). More recently, he starred as Adam Neumann in the series ‘WeCrashed’ (2022) and took the titular role in Marvel’s ‘Morbius’ (2022). Upcoming projects include starring as Ares in ‘Tron: Ares’ (2025) and being cast as Skeletor in ‘Masters of the Universe’ (2026), further demonstrating his versatile range across major franchises.
