Adventure Club, an electronic dance music duo formed by Christian Srigley and Leighton James, originated in Montreal, Quebec. The duo initially began as a hardcore pop-punk band. In 2011, they transitioned into electronic dance music after realizing the potential following a successful dubstep remix of “Daisy” by Brand New, which gained traction on Hype Machine. Their sound is characterized by high-pitched female vocals, melodic arrangements, and dubstep synths. Key influences on their musical style include artists such as Tiësto, Flux Pavilion, and Skrillex. Their work quickly gained exposure, notably through the placement of their music video for “Everything to Me” by LIPS on UKF Dubstep’s YouTube channel.
Over their career, Adventure Club has achieved several milestones. Their debut album, “Red // Blue,” released on December 2, 2016, reached number one on Dance and Electronic charts in North America. The duo has remixed tracks for artists such as Kehlani, Virtual Self, and collaborated with Snails and Sara Diamond. Their “Undercover” club remix with Kehlani earned them a Grammy nomination in 2018 for “Best Remixed Recording.” They have also received two Juno Award nominations for Best New Music Group and Best Electronic Album. They have performed at major music festivals globally, including the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Their singles have been featured in television series like “Teen Wolf” and “Eye Candy,” and in a 2012 Coca-Cola commercial. The duo maintains a mixtape series, ‘Superheroes Anonymous,’ which averages one million listeners.
Adventure Club continues to produce music, pushing the boundaries of melodic dubstep. Their sophomore album, “Love // Chaos,” was released on February 11, 2022. They have released singles such as “Back To You” featuring Sara Diamond and “High Like This,” a collaboration with Squired featuring Dia Frampton. They are recognized for their foundational contributions to dubstep and their ability to evolve within the electronic music landscape.
