Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, an American singer-songwriter, has achieved global recognition for her distinctive vocal style, selling over 50 million records worldwide. After auditioning for MTV’s talent show ‘The Cut’ in 1998, Anastacia swiftly secured a record deal with Daylight Records, an imprint of Sony Music Entertainment’s Epic Records, in March 1999. Her debut single, ‘I’m Outta Love,’ released in 2000, became a global hit, topping charts in Belgium, Australia, and New Zealand. This success laid the groundwork for her debut album, Not That Kind, released on June 13, 2000, which reached the top ten in eight countries.

In recognition of her rapid ascent, Anastacia was honored as the World’s Best Selling New Female Pop Artist at the 2001 World Music Awards. Her second album, Freak of Nature, followed in November 2001, achieving significant success, particularly in the UK. In January 2003, following a breast cancer diagnosis, Anastacia established the Anastacia Fund to promote awareness. Her self-titled third album, Anastacia, released in 2004, introduced her signature ‘sprock’ sound, a fusion of soul, pop, and rock.

The 2022–2023 period saw her embark on the successful ‘I’m Outta Lockdown: 22nd Anniversary European Tour.’ On April 28, 2023, she released the single ‘Best Days’ and announced her eighth studio album, Our Songs, which was released on September 22, 2023, earning a Gold certification in Germany. Throughout her prolific career, Anastacia has achieved global recognition for her distinctive vocal style, selling over 50 million records worldwide and accumulating 227 gold and platinum certifications.
