BOJ, born Bolaji Odojukan, stands as a visionary artist who has sculpted the musical landscape for over a decade. As a pioneer of the Alte movement, BOJ has forged a distinctive sound that blends electronica, Afrofuturism, and R&B into a tapestry that transcends genres. Departing from the mainstream currents of Afropop, BOJ, alongside his school friends Teezee and Fresh L, laid the groundwork for Alte as part of the group DRB Las Gidi.

In 2014, BOJ embarked on a solo journey with his debut album “Boj on the Mic,” unveiling his multicultural upbringing that spanned the streets of London to the rhythms of Nigeria. His eclectic approach to music captured the attention of peers and fans alike, solidifying his reputation as an artist’s artist.

Now in his late 20s, BOJ’s influence extends beyond borders, with his Alte sound seamlessly interwoven into the global success of Afrobeats. Establishing his studio, Gbagada Express, BOJ has cultivated a haven for Nigerian talent, further amplifying his impact on the Lagos music scene.

The release of his album “Gbagada Express” on April 22, 2022, marked a milestone in BOJ’s career, featuring a constellation of stars from Wizkid to Davido, showcasing the breadth of his influence.
