Cochren & Co. is a contemporary Christian band fronted by singer-songwriter Michael Cochren, who originated from Pike County, Indiana. Music was a significant part of Cochren’s upbringing. After completing his education, Michael Cochren formed a band with friends, eventually including his wife, Leah Cochren. The group then began touring under the name Cochren & Co. Their career progressed significantly when they signed with TobyMac’s Gotee Records. In 2018, they released their inaugural single with the label, “Church (Take Me Back),” which successfully reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart, marking their initial ascent in the music industry.
Following their debut single’s success, Cochren & Co. continued to build their profile. In 2019, they received a nomination for Break Out Single of the Year at the K-Love Fan Awards for “Church (Take Me Back).” The momentum continued into 2020 with the release of their second single, “One Day,” which also became a Top 10 Billboard radio hit. This led to a nomination for New Artist of the Year at the 51st Annual GMA Dove Awards later that year. In January 2021, the band released their debut full-length album, “Don’t Lose Hope.” This album achieved both critical and commercial success, featuring three Top 10 Billboard radio hits. The title track, “Don’t Lose Hope,” was notably featured in an episode of CBS’s television series MacGyver.
Further solidifying their career trajectory, Cochren & Co. released their sophomore album, “Running Home,” in February 2023. The title track from this album, “Running Home,” notably spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. The project also included “Thank God For Sunday Morning,” a Top 15 Billboard Airplay & AC radio single that was recognized on K-LOVE’s “22 Songs That Defined 2022.” A live performance of their song “Be There For You” from the sophomore album was featured on GRAMMY.com’s Positive Vibes Only. A significant milestone in their career occurred on June 13, 2023, when Cochren & Co. made their debut at the Grand Ole Opry. In August 2023, the band released the song “Parking Lot,” which was still climbing charts as of February 2024, indicating continued artistic output and audience engagement. Their upcoming holiday album, “The Company Christmas Album,” is scheduled for release on October 11, 2024.
