About

Born in McMinnville, Tennessee, Drew Green grew up in a rural setting, where his early musical influences included country artists like Sammy Kershaw and Alan Jackson. During his teenage years, his musical palette expanded to include hip-hop, pop, and R&B, with artists such as Usher, Craig David, Matchbox Twenty, and Dr. Dre. He participated in bands throughout high school and continued to develop his songwriting skills while attending college. Following his graduation, Green moved to Nashville, where he performed as part of the house band at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Concurrently, he maintained a day job at a bank, all the while actively pursuing a career in songwriting.

Green eventually established himself in the music industry, co-writing notable songs, including Florida Georgia Line’s “Colorado” alongside Hardy and Hunter Phelps. In November 2018, he secured a publishing contract with Cornman Music, a venture led by Brett James. This was a turning point, leading to more opportunities. In June 2020, Green signed a recording contract with Villa 40/Sony Music Nashville. He debuted as a recording artist in the same month with the song “Little More Be Alright.” His introductory EP, “Dirt Boy, Vol. 1,” followed in September 2020. “Dirt Boy, Vol. 2,” released in 2021, featured the streaming hit “Hooch.” In 2022, the soulful single “Good Ol’ Man” gained popularity, blending country-pop and R&B elements. In 2023, Green released “Prayer List,” “Yep,” and “Best Ex I Ever Had,” and his single “Lotta Bit Of You” achieved virality on TikTok.

In June 2021, Green signed an exclusive deal with WME for representation in all areas. He has continued to release new music, including singles like “Heard About Me” (2025) and “Comin’ In Country” (2025), which are part of his latest EP, “Comin’ In Country.” His debut album, “What You’re Looking For,” is set to be released in September 2025. Green’s career has progressed from behind-the-scenes songwriting to gaining recognition as a prominent recording artist, reflecting his diverse musical background.
