Fish Leong

Fish Leong, born Leong Chui Peng, is a Malaysian singer-songwriter who has captivated audiences across Asia with her soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics. With a remarkable career spanning over two decades, Leong has sold more than 20 million records, solidifying her status as one of Mandopop’s most beloved artists.

Born in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, Leong made her mark in the music industry after debuting her singing career in Taiwan in the late 1990s. Signing with Rock Records in October 1997, she quickly gained recognition and adopted the English name “Fish,” derived from the last character of her Chinese name, which sounds similar to “fish” in Cantonese.
