Geordie Greep

Geordie Greep, an English musician, singer, and songwriter, is known for his work as the former frontman and lead guitarist of the acclaimed rock band Black Midi and his subsequent solo career. After forming the acclaimed rock band Black Midi in 2017, Geordie Greep, known for his distinctive vocal style and lead guitar work, quickly established himself as a prominent figure in experimental rock. The band gained significant recognition through performances at The Windmill in Brixton, leading to their signing with Rough Trade Records in 2019. Under this partnership, Black Midi released their debut album, ‘Schlagenheim,’ in 2019, which earned a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize the same year, solidifying their critical acclaim.

Issued once again through Rough Trade Records, the album received very positive reviews, notably from publications like Pitchfork, praising its exploration of experimental rock, math rock, jazz fusion, and art rock. For ‘The New Sound,’ Greep collaborated with Seth ‘Shank’ Evans (HMLTD), creating a rich musical framework that resonated with critics and fans alike. Geordie Greep continues to actively promote his solo material, with a ‘Live in the USA Tour’ scheduled to commence in September 2025. This upcoming tour will showcase his solo work to audiences across the United States.

Additionally, Greep is slated for a major festival appearance at the Balaclava Fest in November 2025, further cementing his presence as a compelling solo artist following his successful tenure with Black Midi.
