Gin Lee’s 2009 debut Mandarin album, ‘ONE & ONLY,’ earned a nomination at the 17th Malaysian Music Industry Awards for Best Local Chinese Album. Her appearances on Taiwans ‘Super Idol’ (May 2010) and Hong Kongs ‘The Voice 2’ (August 2010), with a perfect score for ‘Xin Bu Liao Qing / New Everlasting Love,’ propelled her career. After relocating to Hong Kong in 2011, she released her Cantonese debut EP, ‘Here I Come.’ Its single ‘Returning Home Alone Today’ (????????) became a major hit in 2012, topping charts and securing two Hong Kong Metro Radio Hit Music Awards. Her 2013 EP, ‘Ginetic,’ and its lead single ‘Story of Rose’ topped major music charts, earning her Best Performance Artiste of Malaysia at the 13th Global Chinese Music Awards.
In 2021, Lee secured the Best Female Singer Bronze Prize and had ‘Door of Bliss’ named a Top 10 Song of the Year at ViuTVs Chill Club Music Awards. She also coached on TVB’s ‘Stars Academy’ (2021-2022) and released ‘Let the Street Lights Rest When the Sun Rises’ featuring Jacky Cheung (2021), followed by her seventh studio album, ‘Time & Faith,’ in 2022. In 2023, Gin Lee signed with Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG). Under this new partnership, she released the hit dance track ‘Dum Dum,’ which topped all five major charts in Hong Kong and was awarded Top 10 Song of the Year at the 2023 Ultimate Song Chart Awards.
Later that year, she released ‘Trivial Matters of Us’ and ‘Attention,’ with the latter also topping five music charts in Hong Kong. Looking ahead, Lee co-headlined the 903 Lava Live concert in 2024 and is slated to release her eighth full-length album, ‘Leap of Faith,’ in 2025.
