John Mayer

John Mayer’s debut studio album, Room for Squares (2001), marked his breakthrough, quickly followed by Heavier Things (2003), which peaked atop the U.S. Billboard 200. This early success earned him a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 2003 for ‘Your Body Is a Wonderland,’ and in 2005, ‘Daughters’ secured the Grammy for Song of the Year. Prior to these chart-topping releases, Mayer gained recognition through his independent EP Inside Wants Out (1999) and a performance at the 2000 South by Southwest festival, which led to a contract with Aware Records, an imprint of Columbia Records.

Billboard 200. Subsequent albums, Born and Raised (2012) and Paradise Valley (2013), further showcased his versatility, with Born and Raised debuting at number one and Paradise Valley peaking at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200. In 2015, Mayer demonstrated his adaptability and deep musical interests by forming Dead & Company with former members of the Grateful Dead, embarking on multiple successful tours.
