About

Holly Audrey Williams, born on March 12, 1981, in Cullman, Alabama, is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, retail entrepreneur, and serial house renovator. She is the granddaughter of country music legend Hank Williams and the daughter of Hank Williams Jr. Her mother, Becky, is from Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Williams attended St. Paul Christian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from Brentwood Academy, where she developed her passion for songwriting. At 17, she began playing her father’s guitars and writing her own songs. After high school, she pursued music more seriously, self-booking shows in Nashville clubs and touring throughout the US and Europe, often traveling alone with her guitar and keyboard.

Her career took a significant turn in March 2006 when she and her sister, Hilary, were involved in a serious car accident. Holly sustained broken bones in her right arm and wrist, making her uncertain about her future in music. This pivotal event led her to explore other creative avenues, resulting in the establishment of her first retail venture, H. Audrey, a women’s clothing boutique in Nashville, which opened in 2007. The boutique quickly gained a following among celebrities like Taylor Swift and Reese Witherspoon. In 2009, Williams released her critically acclaimed second album, “Here with Me,” demonstrating her resilience and continued dedication to music. Prior to this, her debut album, “The Ones We Never Knew,” was released in 2004 through Universal South Records.

Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, Williams launched her second retail project, White’s Mercantile, in December 2013, a modern-day general store inspired by her maternal grandparents and her great-grandfather’s mercantile in Louisiana. White’s Mercantile, which started in a restored gas station, now boasts five locations, four of which are in Tennessee. Concurrent with her retail success, Williams continued her music career, releasing her third album, “The Highway,” in 2013 on her own label, Georgiana Records. This album received widespread critical acclaim and reached No. 146 on the Billboard 200. Her renovations of old houses have also been featured in publications such as Southern Living and Architectural Digest.
