Halestorm and I Prevail's collaboration "Can U See Me in the Dark?" is the newest No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, and they have teamed up for a new collaboration with explosively heavy track 'Can U See Me In The Dark?'. The pairing results in a colossal track that boasts anthemic vocals from Eric Vanlerberghe and Halestorm's Lzzy Hale atop a driving, hard rock cadence that is a standout song.

I Prevail was formed in late 2013 in Southfield, Michigan. The band gained initial widespread attention in December 2014 with their metal cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.” This cover achieved significant chart success, peaking at number 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 23 on the US Mainstream Rock Songs chart. It was later certified platinum in 2019, marking an early milestone in their career. Following this success, I Prevail released their debut EP, “Heart vs. Mind,” in December 2014, featuring singles like “Love, Lust, and Liars” and “The Enemy.” The band’s early career involved touring, including the “Heart vs. Mind Tour” and “Massive Addictive Tour,” and opening for established acts such as Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil.
The band’s debut album, “Lifelines,” was released in October 2016. The album featured successful singles like “Scars” and “Stuck in Your Head.” “Lifelines” achieved commercial success, reaching number 15 on the Billboard 200. I Prevail continued to tour extensively, participating in the 2017 Vans Warped Tour and undertaking their first major overseas headline tour in Australia. Their momentum continued with the release of “Trauma” in March 2019. This album was a critical and commercial success, becoming the fourth-best selling album of its release week in the US. The singles “Breaking Down” and “Hurricane” performed well on rock radio, with “Hurricane” reaching number 1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. “Trauma” also earned the band two Grammy nominations in 2019: one for Best Rock Album and another for Best Metal Performance for the single “Bow Down.”
In 2022, I Prevail released their third studio album, “True Power,” preceded by singles “Body Bag” and “Bad Things.” “True Power” further solidified their standing in the rock music scene and was followed by the “True Power Tour.” In May 2025, co-vocalist Brian Burkheiser departed from the band. Later in 2025, I Prevail announced their fourth studio album, “Violent Nature,” set for release in September, featuring singles like “Violent Nature,” “Into Hell,” “Rain,” and “Annihilate Me.” The band announced the “Violent Nature European Tour” for September and October 2026, with supporting acts Polaris and Amira Elfeky.
