J Mascis is a musician and songwriter known for his influential contributions to alternative rock as the singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter for Dinosaur Jr. After forming Dinosaur Jr. in 1984, J Mascis went on to establish himself as an influential force in alternative rock, serving as the band’s singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter.
