Kamauu

KAMAUU, an artist, rapper, poet, and thinker, has built a career marked by unique musical fusions and notable collaborations. After signing with Atlantic Records in 2015, KAMAUU went on to release his debut EP, A Gorgeous Fortune, in 2016. The EP featured his solo single ‘Jusfayu,’ which garnered over 10 million cumulative streams and earned recognition from NPR as a ‘Song We Love.’ ‘Jusfayu’ was also prominently featured on the HBO series Insecure and included on the official soundtrack for FIFA 17. Further showcasing his versatility that same year, KAMAUU contributed the track ‘The Icarus’ to The Birth of a Nation: The Inspired By Album.

Continuing his prolific output, KAMAUU released his full-length debut, TheKAMAUU-CASSETTE: ?RTH G?LD, in 2017. He further expanded his acclaimed discography in 2019 with the release of the EP TheKAMAUU-CASSETTE: MíXD GR??NS, which uniquely showcased his distinctive blend of rap, reggae, soul, and doo-wop elements. Beyond his solo work, KAMAUU co-founded DoloBhana in 2016, a multi-disciplinary artist collective dedicated to fostering diverse creative talent. KAMAUU has consistently demonstrated his collaborative spirit, featuring on tracks with a range of prominent artists including Kota the Friend, Topaz Jones, Marques Martin, and Stella Santana.
