Lewis Capaldi launched his career with the independent release of his debut single, ‘Bruises,’ on March 31, 2017. The track rapidly gained over 28 million Spotify plays, establishing him as the fastest unsigned artist to reach 25 million streams on the platform. This success followed his discovery by manager Ryan Walter in 2014 via a SoundCloud recording, leading to a management deal and subsequent signing with Universal Music Group (Germany), with releases distributed by Virgin EMI Records in the UK and Capitol Records in the US. His first extended play, ‘Bloom,’ featuring ‘Lost on You’ and ‘Fade,’ followed in 2017.

In 2023, Capaldi released his second album, ‘Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent,’ which included the number-one singles ‘Forget Me’ (released 2022), ‘Pointless’ (2023), and ‘Wish You the Best’ (2023). The same year saw the release of the acclaimed Netflix documentary ‘How I’m Feeling Now,’ chronicling his career journey.
