Lisa Maffia is a multi-talented British artist, recognized for her contributions to music as a singer, songwriter, and rapper, as well as her ventures into fashion, modeling, and business. She gained prominence as a member of So Solid Crew and has since built a diverse career marked by chart success, entrepreneurial endeavors, and various media appearances. After making her recording debut with So Solid Crew on the track ‘Oh No’ in 2000, Lisa Maffia achieved breakthrough success as a founding member and lead female vocalist for the UK garage and hip hop group. The group’s single ’21 Seconds,’ released on August 6, 2001, rapidly topped the UK Singles Chart, earning Platinum certification, and was subsequently awarded Best British Video at the 2002 BRIT Awards.
Maffia also expanded into film as an executive producer for the UK film ‘Little Lighty’ under Maffia Media in 2017, and in 2018, she was honored with a Music Honour at the Black Magic Awards for her influence in the industry. She later presented the music cooking show ‘Certified’ on BritAsia TV in 2019. The early 2020s marked a period of significant entrepreneurial expansion for Maffia. In 2020, she launched Salon 48, a hair and beauty salon in Margate, and Lyrical UK, a music industry personalized message service.
