Manu Manzo was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on April 14, 1994, and grew up in Miami, United States. She attended Berklee College of Music for two years before releasing her debut six-track EP, “Como Soy,” in 2014, produced by Juan Carlos Perez-Soto. This project featured collaborations with artists such as Tommy Torres, Luis Enrique, Alex Ubago, Elsten Torres, and Cris Zalles. Her initial work led to a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2015 Latin GRAMMYs, recognizing her as an emerging talent in the Latin music scene.
Her career progressed with subsequent projects, including the 2018 EP “Intermedio” and the 2019 release “Después de las 12.” These works established her unique sound, blending soulful rhythms with Latin influences. In 2016, she signed a worldwide music publishing agreement with Peer Music, further solidifying her presence in the industry. By 2018, Manzo signed a significant recording contract and co-management deal with Universal Music Latin Entertainment through their In-Tu Linea label. Throughout this period, she represented Venezuela in the 2019 MIDEM Accelerator Program and at the 2020 Viña del Mar Festival. Her performances include opening for Bob Jones and Rosalía at the iii Points Festival in Miami and participating in Art Basel Miami. More recently, she sang the National Anthem at a Miami Dolphins game. Her new album, “LUNA EN GEMINIS,” released in May, reflects on personal experiences of love, loss, and growth, marking a new chapter in her artistry. This album features collaborations with artists such as Maffio, Sessi, Homero Gallardo, and Calacote.
