Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez Batista, known as Natti Natasha, was born on December 10, 1986, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Her musical journey began at a young age, enrolling in the School of Fine Arts in Santiago at seven to develop her singing abilities. By age 14, she was recording her own songs and participating in local music events. She later formed the musical group “D’Style” with friends, which eventually disbanded. At 18, she moved to the Bronx, New York, with aspirations in music. During this time, she also worked as an engineer in a makeup factory. Her career took a significant turn when she met reggaeton veteran Don Omar, who signed her to his label, Orfanato Music Group.
Her breakthrough came with collaborations that garnered widespread attention. In 2012, her duet with Don Omar, “Dutty Love,” topped US Latin charts and earned three Billboard Latin Music Awards. She also collaborated with Farruko on “Crazy in Love” which charted in the US. In 2017, she released “Criminal” with Ozuna, which became one of the most-watched music videos of the year. The following year, her collaboration with Becky G, “Sin Pijama,” peaked at number three on the Hot Latin Songs chart and achieved a billion views within six months, becoming the most-watched female song of the year. These successes led to her signing with Pina Records and Sony Music Latin.
Natti Natasha released her debut album, “ilumiNATTI,” in 2019, which featured multiple number-one singles and topped charts in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, accumulating billions of streams. The album included collaborations with Anitta and Kany Garcia. Her second full-length album, “NattiVidad,” released in 2021, featured platinum hits “Antes que Salga El Sol” and “Ram Pam Pam” with Becky G, and debuted on Spotify’s “Global Debut Albums” chart. She has earned four Premios Lo Nuestro Awards, six Tu Musica Urban Awards, and one Billboard Latin Music Award. In 2021, she also served as Executive Producer for the YouTube Original Series “BRAVAS” and premiered her six-episode reality series, “Everybody Loves Natti,” on Amazon Prime Video.
