Purple Kiss

Purple Kiss was formed by RBW in 2020, initially conceptualized as 365 Practice, a YouTube channel in March 2018 showcasing female trainees’ daily lives and activities. During this period, several members gained individual experience on various Korean reality shows. Chaein appeared on “K-pop Star” seasons 1 and 3 in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Dosie participated in “Mix Nine” in late 2017, ranking 74th. In June 2018, Park Ji-eun and Na Go-eun were contestants on “Produce 48,” placing 80th and 29th. The group held a mini-concert, “All-Ways,” in May 2019 to celebrate 100,000 YouTube subscribers, and members contributed to various music projects, with Swan recording guide vocals for Chungha’s “Snapping” in July 2019 and Go-eun singing “Fly” for the “Possessed” OST. Purple Kiss was officially announced in June 2020 with a final lineup of seven members. They released two pre-debut digital singles: “My Heart Skip a Beat” in November 2020, featuring choreography by members and a rap by Yuki, and “Can We Talk Again” in February 2021, showcasing their musical range.

Purple Kiss officially debuted on March 15, 2021, with the EP “Into Violet,” reaching number 11 on the Gaon Album Chart. The lead single “Ponzona” peaked at number 99 on the Download Chart. Later that year, on September 8, they released their second EP, “Hide & Seek,” with the lead single “Zombie.” Yuki contributed to the lyrics of the lead single, and the group had writing and composing credits for most tracks on the album. In December 2021, they issued the winter digital single “My My.” The group continued to release new music, including their third EP “MemeM” in March 2022 and their fourth EP “Geekyland” in July 2022. Park Ji-eun departed from the group on November 18, 2022, due to health issues, reshaping Purple Kiss as a six-member ensemble.

The group’s trajectory included an expansion into the Japanese market with their debut EP “Dear Violet” in March 2023, accompanied by concerts in Osaka and Tokyo. Their fifth EP, “Cabin Fever,” was released in February 2023 and charted at number 18 on South Korea’s Circle Album Chart, entering the top 10 of the iTunes Top Albums chart in 16 regions globally. Yuki participated in Mnet’s survival show “Queendom Puzzle” in April 2023, securing 3rd place and joining the group El7z Up. In September 2023, Purple Kiss embarked on their first tour, “2023 The Festa Tour in USA.” The group released their sixth EP, “BXX,” in March 2024, and their seventh EP, “Headway,” in October 2024. In July 2025, they released their second single album, “I Miss My…,” followed by their final EP, “Our Now,” in August 2025. Purple Kiss is scheduled to conclude group activities in November 2025.
