Shironamhin

Shironamhin made history in 2010 with the release of Shironamhin Rabindranath, a groundbreaking collection of Rabindra Sangeet that marked the first such album by a band in Bangladesh. This landmark project showcased the band’s innovative approach by seamlessly integrating classical instruments including sarod, cello, flute, esraj, and violin into their distinct progressive rock sound. Shironamhin began its professional journey in Dhaka in 1996, quickly establishing itself in the underground music scene with its psychedelic and progressive rock style, multi-instrumental compositions, and philosophical lyrical content. Vocalist Tanzir Tuhin joined in 2002, solidifying their lineup as Ziaur Rahman became the primary lyricist and thematic leader.

The album showcased their distinct musical identity, characterized by sophisticated compositions and a unique fusion of traditional and contemporary elements. With a career spanning over two decades, Shironamhin remains a highly influential and marketable act, continuously evolving their sound while staying true to the philosophical depth and musical innovation that has captivated audiences across the globe.
