Static & Ben El Tavori were an Israeli musical pop duo that gained prominence with their genre-blending sound and achieved significant success in Israel prior to their separation in 2022. After his breakthrough in 2015 with the song ‘Ba La Lirkod,’ released with DJ Gal Malka, Liraz Russo, known as Static, went on to collaborate with Ben El Tavori and producer Yarden Peleg (Jordi) on Ron Nesher’s 2015 single ‘#DubiGal,’ marking the beginning of the acclaimed musical pop duo Static & Ben El. Their first official single, ‘Barbie,’ was released in November 2015, quickly propelling them to national fame in Israel. The duo released a string of chart-topping hits including ‘Silsulim’ (2016), which earned the ‘Song of the Year’ award and ‘Breakthrough of the Year’ and ‘People of the Year’ accolades on Galgalatz.

This was followed by ‘Zahav’ (2017) and the record-breaking ‘Tudo Bom’ (2017), whose original Hebrew-language video became the most-watched video in Israeli YouTube history, accumulating approximately 300 million views. Their exceptional work also earned them the prestigious ACUM Prize in the Inbal Perlmutter ‘Achievement of the Year’ category in 2017, and their hit ‘Hakol Letova’ broke radio play records, complementing their advertising campaign for fashion company Castro. Building on their domestic success, Static & Ben El expanded their reach globally, signing a landmark ten-year, $5 million deal with Capitol Records in March 2018 to produce international English-language albums. They continued to release popular tracks such as ‘Kawaii’ in 2018 and an English version of ‘Tudo Bom’ featuring J Balvin in 2019.

Their pioneering genre-blending sound and numerous chart-topping hits continue to resonate, leaving a significant legacy in both the Israeli and international music industries, highlighted by groundbreaking YouTube viewership and high-profile collaborations.
