The Highwomen

The Highwomen is an American country music supergroup that aims to address the imbalance of female representation in country music. After forming in 2019 to address the imbalance of female representation in country music, the American country music supergroup The Highwomen quickly made a significant impact. Comprised of Grammy Award-winning artists Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Amanda Shires, the group made their debut live performance on April 1, 2019, at Loretta Lynn’s 87th birthday concert in Nashville. Following this, The Highwomen released their first single, ‘Redesigning Women,’ on July 19, 2019, accompanied by a music video featuring several prominent female country artists.
