Vampire Weekend, an acclaimed indie rock band formed in New York City, has consistently delivered critically and commercially successful albums, establishing a significant presence in contemporary music. After being named ‘The Year’s Best New Band’ by Spin magazine in 2008 and becoming the first band to grace their cover before releasing a debut album, Vampire Weekend quickly established themselves as a significant force in indie rock. Formed in New York City in 2006, the band distinguished itself with a unique blend of indie pop, Afropop, and chamber music. The album earned them another Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2020. Vampire Weekend also explored new creative avenues, releasing the Live in Florida EP (2020), 40:42 EP (2021), and Frog on the Bass Drum Vol.
They performed the double A-side single ‘Capricorn’ and ‘Gen-X Cops’ on Saturday Night Live in 2024.
