Aaron Sanchez

Aarón Sánchez is a renowned chef and television personality, celebrated for his expertise in Mexican cuisine and his engaging presence across various culinary programs. After successfully launching the critically acclaimed pan-Latin restaurant Paladar on the Lower East Side in 2000, Aarón Sánchez saw it earn Time Out New York’s award for Best New Lower East Side Restaurant in 2001 and be named Best Latin American Restaurant in 2002. Sánchez had formally pursued his culinary education at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, before gaining significant experience in acclaimed kitchens. He worked at Patria under Chef Douglas Rodriguez, helped open Erizo Latino with Alex Garcia, and served as executive chef at L-Ray and Isla, specializing in Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico cuisines.

His role expanded further in 2019 when he became a judge on ‘MasterChef Junior’ starting with its 7th season, reaching millions of viewers across both platforms. Beyond the screen, Sánchez is a respected author, having penned two cookbooks and releasing his highly anticipated memoir, ‘Where I Come From: Life Lessons From a Latino Chef,’ in 2019, which offered personal insights into his professional journey.
