Miroslav Barnyashev

Miroslav Barnyashev, known professionally as Miro or Rusev, made his professional wrestling debut on November 22, 2008, competing as ‘Miroslav Makaraov’ in New Wave Pro Wrestling. His career gained significant momentum in September 2010 when he signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He was assigned to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where he adopted the ring name Alexander Rusev. After FCW was rebranded as NXT in 2012, Rusev continued to hone his skills, forming a pivotal on-screen partnership with Lana, who served as his ‘social ambassador.’ During this period, he showcased his abilities against main roster wrestlers, including Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Sin Cara, in matches broadcast on NXT.
