Abhi Sinha

Abhi Sinha was born on February 20, 1990, in Bombay (Mumbai), India. He spent his formative years primarily in Pittsburgh, where he attended Shadyside Academy. During his time at Shadyside, Sinha was actively involved in competitive hockey and also demonstrated talent as a saxophonist, receiving awards and recognition for his musical abilities in middle school. The family later relocated to the West Coast, where Sinha continued his education at The Webb Schools, beginning his acting career through school productions.

Following his graduation from The Webb Schools, Abhi Sinha enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC) for his freshman year. However, he subsequently took an indefinite leave of absence from his studies to pursue a career in acting full-time. This decision marked a significant turning point, allowing him to focus on building his professional acting portfolio. His early career included a role as Vikram in David Fincher’s critically acclaimed film, “The Social Network,” released in 2010. He also appeared in “In Time” (2011) as Ross and later as Daniels in “Blackhat” (2015).

Sinha’s career progressed with notable television roles, including Danny Gupta in the Freeform series “Chasing Life” from 2014 to 2015, appearing in 23 episodes. He also gained recognition for his recurring role as Ravi Shapur in the long-running soap opera “The Young and the Restless” from 2016 to 2018, contributing to 85 episodes. Further television credits include appearances in “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2016), “Rosewood” (2016), “Designated Survivor” (2017), “S.W.A.T.” (2020), “This Is Us” (2021), and “Animal Kingdom” (2022). In film, he played Harry Whitmark in “The Conjuring 2” (2016) and Jason in “Poor Paul” (2023). Beyond acting, Sinha is also credited with production management, with an upcoming role as a production manager for “The Sad Little Angel Clown (Who That Cries).” He is a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins and is also proficient in tennis, ice hockey, and plays the saxophone.
