Born in Bombay, India and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Abhi Sinha is an actor who has become a success starring in cult classics. He is best known for The Social Network, The Young and the Restless, Chasing Life and The Conjuring 2.
Sinha began his acting journey while attending school, starring in small school theatre productions. He traveled to the west coast to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional actor and making it on the big screen. His first credited role was in 2005 where Sinha took on the role of Aneesh in the Golden Globe nominated series The Bernie Mac Show. After his debut, he constantly secured role after role on hit prime time and critically acclaimed television series like How I Met Your Mother in 2009, Ghost Whisperer, and CSI: Miami both in 2010. Sinha made his debut in feature films with the release of The Social Network (2010) as Vikram. The Social Network received over 170 awards and 180 nominations for its time on the big screen.
From 2011 till 2014, Sinha continued to make guest appearances on several series and movies before landing his first recurring role. Some to name are Bones, NCIS, the hit feature film In Time, alongside Justin Timberlake and Olivia Wilde. In 2014 he secured the role as Danny Gupta on ABC Family’s Chasing Life where he stayed on for 23 episodes throughout their first season. After leaving the show in 2015, the following year Sinha obtained the role in the haunting thriller, The Conjuring 2 where he played the role of Harry Whitmark, a paranormal research assistant. In the same 2016 year, after paving his way through the industry with his impeccable talent, he landed a spot on the cult classic soap opera, The Young and the Restless. He starred in about 88 episodes as Ravi Shapur. Along with sharing his talents on screen, Sinha has given back to the community as well by sharing his craft and speaking at several conferences in conjunction with organisations like AAFT University and many others.
