Abu Azaitar

A veteran of the mixed martial arts world, Abu Azaitar has been a professional for twelve years and is also known as Captain Morocco.

Azaitar has been training in combat fighting for his whole life, with his younger brother Ottman Azaitar also becoming a professional mixed martial artist. Born in Germany to Moroccan parents, he attended classes in boxing, Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu before choosing to focus his attention on mixed martial arts. He started out in smaller local promotions including Germany Regional, Tempel Fightschool, Superior FC and Respect FC, going unbeaten in his first six matches as a professional. He started to compete with bigger and bigger promotions including the German MMA Championship and Cage Warriors, also putting in winning appearances for the Absolute Championship Berkut and the World Series of Fighting. Azaitar built up a nine fight win streak between 2013 and 2018, attracting the attention of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and signing with the prestigious promotion in 2018. With worldwide coverage and numerous high profile fights to his name, Azaitar now has 1.8 million followers on his Instagram page, marking him out as a fan favourite and one of the most popular figures in the sport.

With an impressive fight record of 15 wins and only 2 losses, Azaitar continues to train and prepare for upcoming fights, and is known as a dominant force in the middleweight division.
