He began training in MMA in 2010, motivated by his father’s encouragement in combat sports. Azaitar quickly gained recognition for his striking ability, earning accolades such as MMA Kombat Complete Champion, Fight of the Year (2012), Martial Artist of the Year (2013), and MMA Fighter of the Year (2013, 2014, 2015). His early career also saw him secure titles including Full Muay Thai NRW Champion, Full Muay Thai Germany Champion, Belgian K-1 Champion, K-1 Germany Champion, and European K-1 Champion.
