Actor, rapper, singer, and comedian Adam Hicks has rebounded from a spectacular fall from grace and is coming back stronger than ever. A child actor from the age of five, he became well known in the 2000s and early 2010s for Disney Channel roles such as Wen in Lemonade Mouth, Luther in Zeke and Luther, and King Boz in Pair of Kings. In 2006, he was a joint recipient of the Young Artist Award for Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film for the movie How to Eat Fried Worms. However, things changed dramatically in 2021 when he was sentenced to five years in prison for his part in a series of armed robberies. He was released in March 2022, having paid for his crime with both his incarceration and the loss of his reputation. However, he was been working hard to put things right and move on ever since, owning up to his wrongdoings and being very honest on social media.
Hicks was born in Las Vegas in 1992. He got his first television role in 2000, appearing as a five-year-old called Dave in a dark comedy series called Titus. He soon moved into more family-friendly territory with Disney-related content and movie roles in the likes of Down and Derby, The 12 Days of Christmas, and the award-winning How to Eat Fried Worms. As his television success grew, so he began to embrace music, releasing singles such as ‘Dance for Life’ and co-writing some of the songs featured in the movie Lemonade Mouth. His last recurring role before his incarceration was that of Diesel in the American horror series Freakish.
As of 2022, Hicks has quit drinking, has a growing social media audience and is working hard on rebuilding trust and picking up the pieces of his acting and music careers.
