American actress, Yancy Butler is best known for her role as Natasha Binder in Hard Target. Butler was born in Greenwich Village in Manhattan in 1970. Shefirst started her acting career with a major role in the television series Mann & Machine in 1992. In this series she played the role of an android police officer who worked in partnership with a human detective. One year after that, she starred in her second series, South Beach, where she played a con artist and thief who made a deal with the federal government, in exchange for them to wipe of her criminal record. She also appeared in John Woo’s film in 1993, Hard Target, and in the film Drop Zone. Butler then appeared as Corinne the dancer, in Let It Be Me. Butler appeared regularly in the CBS television series, Brooklyn South, where she played Anne-Marie Kersey, a Brooklyn policewoman. Butler starred in the television film, Witchblade, and the series, adapted from the ongoing comic book of the same title. The series had 23 episodes and ran on the Turner Network Television. It was ranked seventh in the Top 10 Basic Cable Dramas for 2002. Butler also appeared on 13 episodes of the television soap opera, As the World Turns, playing the character of Ava Jenkins.
