Adrianne Calvo

Adrianne Calvo was born on February 7, 1984, in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated at the top of her class from Johnson & Wales University, laying the foundation for her culinary career. Her professional journey included working at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami with Chef Patrick Lassaque, and later with notable chefs Thomas Keller and Cindy Pawlcyn. These early experiences provided a broad culinary background that informed her unique approach to food.

In April 2007, Calvo opened her first restaurant, Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar, in Miami. The restaurant reflects her ‘maximum flavor’ cooking style and draws inspiration from Napa Valley. She expanded her culinary ventures by transforming her food truck concept into a brick-and-mortar establishment called Cracked Eatery in Miami in August 2019. Throughout her career, Calvo has actively participated in prominent culinary events such as the Food Network’s South Beach Wine and Food Festival, Dali Miami, and the Miami Beach International Fashion Week. She also contributes to local media with her cooking segment, “Maximum Flavor,” on WTVJ NBC6.

Calvo is also an accomplished author, having published several cookbooks starting with “Maximum Flavor” in 2005. Her work has received recognition, including being named Miami’s Best Chef by the New Times in 2018. Her restaurant, Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar, has also earned accolades, being selected as one of Miami’s most important restaurants by Thrillist in 2015 and one of the U.S.’s most unique restaurants by Zagat in 2016. Adrianne Calvo also founded the “Make it Count” foundation, inspired by her sister Jennifer, who passed away in 2006.
