Albe Back, also known as Albert Daniels, is an actor, producer, lyricist, and rapper. Daniels costarred with T.I. in the Chris Robinson movie ATL in 2006, playing himself. Since Daniels was a teenage production assistant on Robinson’s music video shoots in New York, Robinson was familiar with him and gave him the part. In the Rotimi Rainwater movie SP!T (2006), which focuses on four poets in the spoken word community trying to qualify for a national slam competition, Daniels also played himself. In the movie, Daniels shares his perspective on seeking comfort and refuge in a venue called the Nuyorican Poets Café, while doing some soul-searching through the medium of poetry.
In partnership with Creative Control TV, Daniels started filming The One Minute Show, a collection of web shorts, in 2010. Following the premiere season, Daniels and his multimedia business JusBe took over management and production of the shorts, in which he conducts one-minute interviews. People including Bridget Barkan, Stalley, Angie Martinez, Dame Dash, and Ski Beatz have been interviewed for the show.
In 2017, Daniels played a snippy school kid in the TV movie “The New Edition.” In the same year, he played the character AB in the 2Pac biopic All Eyez on Me, as well as featuring in the Joshpen Khan movie “BODIED,” which screened at Sundance in 2018.
