Albe Back

Albe Back, also known as Albert Daniels, is an actor, producer, lyricist, and rapper originating from the South Bronx, New York. His career evolved from music video production to prominent roles in film and television, alongside a significant presence in the spoken word community and music production. After his on-screen debut as ‘Brooklyn’ in Chris Robinson’s 2006 film ATL, Albe Back (Albert Daniels) went on to establish a multifaceted career spanning acting, music, and spoken word poetry. His foundation in the industry began behind the scenes, serving as a production assistant on various music video shoots in New York under the direction of Chris Robinson.

Concurrently, Daniels became a prominent figure in the spoken word community, regularly performing at the esteemed Nuyorican Poets Café in New York and Da Poetry Lounge in Los Angeles. This aspect of his artistry was captured in Rotimi Rainwater’s award-winning 2006 documentary SP!T, where Daniels articulated his journey of self-discovery through poetry. Further solidifying his reputation, he was also featured on HBO’s Def Poetry Jam. Daniels further expanded his producing endeavors by launching ‘The One Minute Show’ in 2010, a collection of web shorts in partnership with Creative Control TV.

This project is slated to mark the inaugural release on Robot Sound Co., a new label owned by director Chris Robinson, bringing his career full circle from early collaborations to a significant artistic milestone. Through this release, Daniels continues to solidify his position as a multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry.
